HOME MOVIES – Moore 24 “US 101″ racing in the 2012 Doublehanded Farallones race; a 56 nm ocean race starting and ending in San Francisco, CA. Ronnie Simpson and crew Ruben Gabriel finished 1st in class and 1st overall, sailing the smallest boat in the fleet. Out of 58 entries, only 14 boats started and only 8 finished, owing to a very severe forecast and 50-knot puffs in the pre-start. Ronnie and Ruben will both be racing Moore 24’s in the 2012 Singlehanded Transpac. Ronnie is racing on behalf of ‘Hope for the Warriors’, a wounded-veteran non-profit, and his goal is to raise money to teach wounded veterans how to sail.
