FROM OUR READERS - I doubt I’ll be able to wipe the grin off my face racing this machine over the next couple days! 600 miles of nonstop racing from Antigua-Barbuda-Nevis-St. Kitts-St. Eustacia-Saba-St. Barths-St. Martin-St. Barths-Monserrat-Guadeloupe-Les Saintes-Barbuda-Antigua. during the Caribbean 600 on the ORMA 63′ trimaran “Paradox”.
What a start! 40 knots of wind. Reef, unreef, reef in 10 min. Phaedo, Slim, and Paradox battling upwind before we lit up downwind and left them. Hit 25.8 knots on the leg from Antigua to Barbuda! Although I’m used to turning my baseball cap around when we hit 20 knots apparent, having to do it while sailing downwind is a whole new ball game! Zooooom.
