Press Release: 3/1/13: Huntington Beach Ca. – Border Run racing is about the pure enjoyment of sailing. Sure we like parties but we like sailing more. It’s about the challenge and fun of sailing on the open ocean in friendly competition against friends. It’s a meeting of the tribes, a convention of the crusty salts, a gathering of wind-seekers.
We are celebrating our 5th year in 2013 and because of you, the sailors, we have been the largest point to point ocean race in Southern California for 2 years in a row. Last June 2012, we introduced Border Run2 which allows sailors a summer time Border Run experience. For 2013, Border Run organizers want to continue to offer sailors two great events. So let’s race down the coast and meet at our chosen destination and have another great sailing experience. And as always, everyone is invited. We have courses for dinghies, windsurfers, kitesurfers, multihulls, cruisers and the fastest boats on the West Coast. See you on the water!
