Written by DOUBLE HANDING – Sailing a SL33 double-handed in San Francisco in 30 knots of wind in the Three Bridge Fiasco race last weekend sounds like a lot of fun! Here is short description of the video by Urs Rothacher, the skipper and owner: “If we look a little slow: Matt and I havent sailed together for a while and we were in energy conservation mode, which proved to be a good attitude; we finished in gusts of up to 30kn (7bft) with the main dropped… Sorry, camera ran out of juice just before the wind filled in.”
