Written by STUDENT SAILING – The Student Yachting World Cup is just ten days away, all the best teams from Universities all around the World will gather in La Rochelle, France for the 32nd edition of SYWoC.
Teams from Australia, Finland, Switzerland, Ireland, UK, USA, Sweden, Canada, Poland, Norway, Italy and of course France will fight for the title on the 26th of October.
The SYWoC is an annual sailing competition organized by students at the École Polytechnique, a French engineering school, seeing the world’s best student sailing teams confront each other in a week-long series of races.
The SYWoC is organised by students for students to provide the best experience in very high-level student sailing. This year the watch company Rochet decided to sponsor SYWoC and offer a collective edition of its Yacht Timer watch to all the competitors.
