TEAM EMIRATES - Emirates Team New Zealand’s AC45 has been packed away in containers in preparation for shipping to Naples, Italy, for the final America’s Cup World Series regatta. The team has held a series of practice races in Auckland with the Italian Luna Rossa team while commissioning its second AC72.
The Naples regatta starts on April 16 and runs through to the 21st. Two back-to-back regattas scheduled for New York in May have been cancelled to allow teams to concentrate on preparing for the start of the Louis Vuitton challenger series.
The Louis Vuitton Cup will be raced from July 4 to August 30th, and will be followed by the Youth America’s Cup from September 1 to the 4 and the America’s Cup from September 7 to the 21. The America’s Cup will be won by the team which wins nine of a maximum 17 races.
